Outcast

I worked with Alkemy X (formerly DIVE VFX) and VFX Supervisor Ed Mendez on Season 1 of Outcast, a new original Cinemax series from Robert Kirkman (Walking Dead).  I was initially brought in to help with creative look development for the entity creature in the pilot episode which helped the studio win the full season of work for the series.  For the subsequent episodes, I was brought on to lead several sequences involving compositing of the entity creature and deal with creatively challenging one off shots.  The entity was created primarily with Houdini FX simulations and in compositing presented integration challenges as it wrapped itself around things and varied in look slightly depending on lighting in the environment.  We had a fantastic team on this project and were able to deliver eerie shots that will hopefully keep audiences cringing.
